But the Spirit explicitly says that in the later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrine taught by demons. . . . (1 Tim. 4:1) False teaching has ravaged the modern local church like a fast-spreading cancer. Today’s American hyper-sensitive church which values "experiences" and demands a message of “positivity” from its leaders looks nothing like the American church that existed just a few centuries ago.

In the wake of the modern day "feel-good" anti-intellectualism and lack of sound doctrine, false teaching has found its way into the sanctuaries of churches all over America and the world. In addition, false religions masquerading as "true" Christianity, such as Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormonism, and others go virtually unchallenged. And when these religions are challenged, it is usually done through Christian apologists. In a generation where few know what they believe, or why they believe, false teaching thrives and will continue to do so.
Our mission at JRMI is simple: "To challenge believers to think, and thinkers to believe." When we as Christians know why we believe and what we believe, we will become much more capable of discerning false teaching and we will even be able to help those who have fallen prey to it.
